The Beach Boys will perform at the Grammy Awards on Sunday, marking the first time the founding members of that band have played together in public in two decades, the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences announced.

The Academy of Country Music announced the nominees for the 47th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards to be co-hosted by Blake Shelton and Reba McEntire, the showcase is scheduled to air live on CBS on April 1st beginning at 8 P.M. ET/PT.

Music sales rose 6.9% in 2011 in the USA and  album sales increased for the first time in seven years. Album downloads sales were up 19.5% over 2010.

Paul McCartney Confirms his new upcoming  Album Title Is 'Kisses on the Bottom'
is due to be released Feb. 7th.

There are two original songs and the rest are covers such as

"It's Only a Paper Moon"
"The Glory of Love" 
"I'm Gonna Sit Right Down and Write Myself a Letter"
and many other standards.

We are hearing from many fans that they are eagerly awaiting the release of Sir Paul's new LP and for the first time Paul Mccartney will not be playing any instruments on the LP.

Glen Campbell and George Jones were announced as Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award recipients on Wednesday (Dec. 21). The invitation-only ceremony for the winners will take place on Feb. 11 in Los Angeles, one day before the Grammy Awards. The Allman Brothers Band, the late Antonio Carlos Jobim, the Memphis Horns, Diana Ross and the late Gil Scott-Heron will also be honored with lifetime achievement awards. In addition, Trustee Awards will be awarded to New Orleans musician Dave Bartholomew, the late Steve Jobs and jazz recording engineer Rudy Van Gelder, while Celemony (creator of audio technology Melodyne) and the late recording engineer Roger Nichols will receive Technical Grammy Awards.
